Growing up in Nashville it’s no surprise that Brandon Heath had music on his mind. He started writing songs when he was only 13. He began recording music independently in 2003. His first album was called Early Stuff, that was followed by Soldier the same year. In 2006 he released his first studio album Don’t Get Comfortable which included the songs I’m Not Who I Was and the title track Don’t Get Comfortable. In 2007 his song Our God Reigns was nominated for the Worship Song of the Year Dove award. Early 2008 Brandon Heath won the Dove award for New Artist Of The Year. In April a series of tornadoes hit parts of Nashville. Brandon quickly organized a benefit concert for the storm victims. Meanwhile he continued to work on his album What If We.
Brandon Heath is a songwriter at heart. In preparation for this album he wrote, both alone and with others, more than 40 songs. The best of these songs were recorded and put on the album which was released in 2008. His latest album is called Leaving Eden (2010).
