David Crowder* Band

David Crowder* Band consists of: David Crowder on Lead vocals and acoustic guitar.
Jack Parker on vocals and electric guitar (not to mention mandolin, banjo, Rhodes piano).
Mike Dodson on Bass (not to mention keyboards, cello and clarinet).
Mike Hogan on violin (not to mention turntables, guitar and various other strings).
Jeremy Bush on drums (not to mention bells, programming and other percussion).
And Mark Waldrop on electric guitar and noise box.

David Crowder went to a Christian college called Baylor University in Waco, Texas and was surprised to find out that many of his friends at the U did not go to church. He and pastor Chris Seay started a University Baptist Church. He began writing songs for the services in 1999 the church worship team made a couple of CDs calling themselves UBC worship. The band was soon signed by Sparrow Records and their first studio album under the name David Crowder* Band was called Can You Hear Us (2002). That was followed by Illuminate in 2003. Their next album would be the first to reach #1 on the Billboard Hot Christian Chart, A Collision was released in 2005. That year they also were featured on the Chronicles of Narnia Soundtrack with the song Turkish Delight.

During the making of their next album David Crowder and the band checked in with fans every day with live webcams and YouTube videos. In 2008 Remedywas released. That album was followed by a live/DVD album called Remedy Club Tour – Live (2008). The latest album by the David Crowder Band is calledChurch Music (2009). This album has no gaps between songs so when played in order it is essentially one big 73 minute song. You can also put the album on repeat and it will seamlessly play forever.

In 2011 The David Crowder Band announced that their next album Give Us Rest would be their last album ever. As it turned out they decided to throw together one last album, a Christmas album called Oh For Joy. And that was it.

After playing their last show together in early 2012 the members of the David Crowder band went their own way. Four of the former members have formed a new group called “The Digital Agree”. David Crowder himself has formed a new collective called simply “Crowder”.
