Audrey Assad

Audrey Assad is a singer songwriter from New Jersey. She grew up in a Christian home and made the faith her own at the age of 5. When she was 18 Audrey Assad moved with her family to Florida. It was there that she met a young man who invited her to join him in leading worship for a young adults group they were starting at his church. She also began writing her own worship music around this time. She also met the band Tenth Avenue North, who she would later open for in their first headlining tour. It wasn’t long before she released her first album, an independent EP called Firefly.

She moved to Nashville and wrote for a few artists including Chris Tomlin. In 2009 she appeared on Chris Tomlin’s Glory in the Highest Christmas album singing her song “Winter Snow”. She then signed with Sparrow Records and her debut album is called The House You’re Building (2010).
