Meredith Andrews grew up in Wilson, North Carolina. Her first time singing on stage was when she was just 6 years old. She sang “I love you Lord” at church. She would later visit other churches and sing Southern Gospel music with her Mother. She had no brother or sisters, but her parents took in a number of foster children when she was growing up.
She continued to sing as she grew and learned to play the piano. By high school she had already began to dabble in songwriting. She also lead worship for her chrurch youth group on Saturday nights.
Inspired in part by her experience with foster brothers and sisters, Maredith Andrews majored in family and child development at Liberty University. She was planning to work at an orphanage. During her time in University leading worship her passion for worship music was drawn out and she decided to pursue it as a career. She was asked to join the worship team at a 12,000 member church in Chicago called Harvest Bible Chapel. She was soon offered a full time job there. That position got her some attention from Nashville and lead to a deal with Word Records.
Her debut album The Invitation came out April 29, 2008. Just one month after the release of her CD she was married to Jacob Suiter the keyboard player for Jeremy Camp’s band. She continues to play at Harvest Bible Chapel and has founded Meredith Andrews Ministries to aid orphans and children in need.
In 2010, she released her latest album As Long As It Takes.
