CHRISTMAS MIRACLES FAMILIES

FAMILY #1: The Gardner Family

David and Marie Gardner are navigating heartbreaking loss while raising their four-year-old grandson, Levi. Their son Colin passed away just shy of his 22nd birthday after years of trauma, addiction, and struggle—but his little boy, Levi, is their miracle. The Gardner’s were recently granted permanent guardianship and are doing their best to rebuild their lives while caring for Levi and supporting their 17-year-old son, Kaden, all while carrying deep grief. What would truly help this family right now are prayers, encouragement, and practical support like groceries, help with bills, and Christmas gifts for the boys.

FAMILY #2: The Barnett Family

The Barnett family—parents Mike and Sarah and their four kids, ages 3 to 15—are facing a challenging season. After surviving meningitis and encephalitis, Mike is now in end-stage renal disease and preparing to begin dialysis while waiting for a kidney transplant. With constant medical appointments, the family has dropped to a single part-time income, and they’re doing their best to stay close by spending intentional time together at home. What would help them most this Christmas are groceries and gifts for the kids as they navigate this difficult journey.

FAMILY #3: Jim Bronsi

Jim is the quiet hero of his family. When his nephew’s father was fighting for his life, Jim would leave work without hesitation to sit with the boy’s mother so she was never alone. After the father passed, Jim stepped in even more — rushing from work whenever the family was sick, and making sure they always felt protected and loved. Jim and his wife cared for the kids like their own, even while struggling to pay their own bills. Now, they could truly use help with rent, groceries, gas, and clothes for their two young children.

FAMILY #4: Grace Stevenson & Family

Grace Stevenson and her family are in a tough season. They’ve just welcomed their third child—a baby boy—but maternity leave has reduced their income, and her partner is still searching for work. They’re holding onto faith, yet the financial strain is overwhelming, even affecting Grace’s ability to produce milk and forcing them to buy formula. Grace simply wants their daughters, ages 10 and 4, to enjoy a peaceful Christmas without seeing the worry at home. Help with groceries or bills would lift a huge weight and give this family a chance to breathe a little easier.

FAMILY #5: Alika Nwodo & Family

Alika Nwodo is a devoted mom raising two young children—an eight-month-old boy and a three-year-old girl—on a very limited budget. She works hard to provide a loving, stable home, even volunteering at her daughter’s preschool and creating meaningful moments despite financial strain. Her perseverance and heart shine through every day. This Christmas, support would make a world of difference: a car seat for the baby, help with groceries or gas, some kitchen essentials, and maybe a special mommy-and-daughter outing. A little generosity would bring this family much-needed joy.

FAMILY #6: Rita and the Smoley Family

Rita lives in subsidized housing and is expecting a baby. She has three kids—Manny, 17, Renee, 10, and Javy, 8. Rita is deeply involved in her community and social services, always standing up for her kids despite difficult circumstances. What would help most right now is clothing for the children and for Rita, a baby hamper, new shoes and boots, and updated technology for Manny as he finishes high school.

FAMILY #7: Vince, Mary & William

Vince is 70, disabled, and living with stage 4 COPD. His wife Mary, 60, works part-time while caring for him and for their grandson William, who has lived with them since birth due to his parents’ addictions. William has several mental health challenges, and with Vince’s health rapidly declining, this year has been especially hard. They are humbly asking for help to make what may be Vince’s last Christmas peaceful and warm. Groceries, gas, and support with bills would make an enormous difference.

FAMILY #8: Kaleigh & Sam

Kaleigh is a single mom to three-year-old Sam. She works as a barista but can’t get full-time hours or benefits. She manages anxiety, depression, ADHD, and bipolar disorder, and is doing well on medication, but finances are tight. Sam requires a gluten-free diet, her rent just went up, her glasses broke, and she recently lost three weeks of income due to a sprained wrist. Grandparents help with childcare, but it’s not enough. Groceries, children’s clothing, boots, and winter gear for Sam would make a big difference for this little family.
